I think you're confused by the way he explained it. Basically, your goal is to hit the *other* players' nails into the stump. The player whose nail is hit drinks. You don't drink because you're not hitting your own nail. Last nail standing wins.
Yeah. I'm pretty sure that we "'mericans" bastardized this game like everything other game and called it our own. Hammerschlaggen involves a bricklayers hammer and you use the chisel end to strike. And you must start your swing from touching the hammer at the side of the stump. The object is to bury your own nail first. You get a second swing if you can flip the hammer catch it, and hit your nail.
Too complicated. People are just trying to have some fun, get drunk, and maybe get hit by a hammer. Love the Germans but these were American improvements
@@qoph1988 With those rules, it's still being able to use your skill while being drunk, which is the usual state. It's like drinking while throwing darts and still hit the bullseye.
@@qoph1988 I'm from Chile, never played any of these, these sound equally "complex" the only reason you find stum easier it's because youre familiar with it.
I play a little different , each player gets a nail and you must flip the hammer and drive the nail all the way in ... if the nail is not fully driven or you miss the nail you take a drink
West>East in terms of skating. I live in Seattle myself, and the skate scene (as far as weather, terrain, etc are concerned) is almost identical to NY's.
everybody was expecting that in Fully Flared they were gonna have legendary parts to every skater (such as Marc Johnson or Guy Mariano). But to me this was the greatest part in the video, all New York, true street skating... sick ass song
There’s so much wrong with this
Well, not like this.
Your playing it wrong. Your supposed to swing as your grabbing the handle, no point flipping it, then readjusting. Defeats the whole purpose
Mate I love playing a good old fashioned game of stump
So u hit and u drink wtf? Then ppl will miss it so they won't drink it's better if u hit it so u don't have to drink
you hit other peoples nails, last nail standing wins

These rules only make sense if the point is to get really drunk.
Yeah... It's a ol backwoods drinking game.
Thought you were supposed to flip it forward so that it's all one motion
You are but most Americans don't get this, right now they might as well not flip it and just swing

Same
Its hammeschlagen.. not "stump"
yeah this isn't hammerschlagen, hammeschlagen is played with a brick layer hammer this is its own game
Terrible explanation
Guy seems soo drunk
Ong
This is called Hammerschlagen. Those Germans are geniuses at drinking and games. 😂
Actually in Hammerschlagen it’s reversed, you are trying to be the first one to get your own nail down
Danny Devito's Magnum Dong I play it like stump but call it hammerschlagen Because it sounds cooler
Wow I was 2 ithink
No, you're right, but I know a lot, and I mean A LOT of people who agree that NY and Seattle have the same terrain, weather, etc
pops
